Steps :)

I just got word that Sarah just walked down the hall of Ward 5A :) and she is now resting in  chair :)
Her pain is still about a 5 out of 10

Day 2 :)

:) thanks to everyone who read my blog yesterday, you guys are great!

So here's the news :) i got a text this morning at about 8:56am and it said that Sarah was sitting up and eating frezzies :) yesterday she never got to drinking because she felt sick to her tummy :( but she got eat white, peach and red freezies. so she is getting into the habit of eating now, which is a good thing :) she has been napping most of the morning and last night i talked her into listening to Final Destination because her eyes still aren't working just right and she was seeing double. Today i think she will be able to have a drink and watch a moive :)

Oh before i forget today is the day when her parents change places :) her mum has been then since the day of her surgery and she is coming home and her dad is coming up there to stay with her :)

Tomorrow is the day when i get to go and see her =D

degrees of Sarah's spine :)

 Dr. Zeller :) (that was the docter preforming the operation) talked to us after the surgery and he told us that during the surgery he took Sarah's spinel degree from 65 degrees to 3 degrees :) which means he moved her spine 62 degrees :) which i must say is pretty amazing :) her spine is almost perfectly straight :)

now at Sick Kids there are these dry erase boards in each room and your can write stuff on them for your kids. Her dad wrote her on the board and it said that she is as "Straight As An Arrow :) which is where the name of my blog came from :)

day 1 :)

today is the first day post operation :) and it has gone really well :)  Sadly i am not with her right now :( i have to work :( so i am getting updates via text from her mum :) and today she got out of bed and sat for 1 hour on a chair :) which is good and she also took her first steps :) she gets to drink also :) but mostly she took lots of nap during the day :) and she got washed by her nurse :) 

Tomorrow is day 2 and on day 3 which is Saturday I will be going down to see her and spend my day with her :)
